The 1973 Libertarian Party National Convention was held in Strongsville, Ohio. This convention, primarily supported by the Libertarian Party of Ohio, is notable for the founding of the Oklahoma Caucus and for being perhaps the beginning of the 1976 presidential campaign of Roger MacBride. The convention opened on Friday with a discussion of using issues to gain public support, moderated by David Nolan, followed by a Speaker's Banquet featuring Tonie Nathan and MacBride. Saturday's events included a seminar on use of the media moderated by Pipp Boyls and training sessions on fund-raising led by D. Frank Robinson and organizing state parties with Ed Clark leading the discussion, as well as numerous workshops on varied subjects. The ExecComm met on Sunday.
