Melvin "Mel" Foster is a Libertarian Party activist. He as served as both Chair and Vice-Chair for the Tioga County Libertarian Party.
Biography
Foster was involved in the formation of the Tioga County Libertarian Party, and was elected its first Vice-Chair on April 25, 2017. He served for a term and then was elected Chair, serving for over two years. In 2020, he was once again elected Vice-Chair, and then became Chair upon the resignation of Theresa Gosart on June 1, 2022. HE served as Chair until Sara Price was elected to succeed him on March 15, 2023.
