The Libertarian Party of Virginia General Convention, 2022 is scheduled to be held on December 3, 2022. This convention was called by circulating a membership petition with business items (info) focused on resolving the Libertarian Party of Virginia Alleged Dissolution Controversy.
Petitioning began on October 5, 2022 when petition spokesperson Jason Bruce launched the petition website.[1] The petition was submitted to the State Central Committee on October 12, 2022 with over 80 validated members signing on[2] with a required signature count of 62.
The convention body passed bylaws amendments to allow for the rescission of officer elections, among other items. Following this, the elections of the Chair and the Secretary were rescinded by the convention body and a new Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary were elected.
