Early Life and Education
Rose was raised in Detroit, Michigan. He pursued his education at Wayne State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. He later attended the University of Detroit Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Rose was a distinguished attorney and a member of the Michigan State Bar, holding membership number 19618. He practiced law and made his living as an attorney throughout his career, leaving a notable impact on the legal field.
Mr. Rose was a partner in the firm Edward Rose and Sons. Additionally, he held various executive positions during his career, including being the former chairman of Fidelity Bank in Birmingham, Michigan, and an executive vice president with Advance Mortgage Corporation.

In 2016, he contributed to both Gary Johnson and Justin Amash, among many other candidates.
Family and Legacy
Rose passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 93, in Palm Beach, Florida. He was predeceased by his son James Rose and his parents Edward and Lillian Rose. Rose is survived by his children: Elizabeth Rose, Cindy Canty (Jerome), and David Rose. He was also survived by his longtime companion, Denise McCann, who provided him with comfort and companionship. In addition to his children, he leaves behind his grandchildren: John Anderson II, Katie Anderson, Jocelyn Silver, and Gordon Silver.
Rose's contributions to both the legal and political spheres, as well as his philanthropic endeavors, have left a lasting legacy that will continue to be remembered and appreciated by many.
