Matt Kibbe is a political activist and advocacy organization executive who is President of the libertarian organization Free the People. He is a co-founder and the former President of FreedomWorks, was a senior advisor to a super PAC supporting Rand Paul's 2016 presidential bid, as well as founder of a PAC to promote libertarian ideas. He previously served as Budget Director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was a senior economist at the Republican National Committee. [1]
Kibbe has mostly worked in or around the Republican Party, claiming that it is a better vehicle for libertarians to use than the alternatives. [2]
