The Tioga County Libertarian Party is a local chapter of the Libertarian Party of New York, established on April 25, 2017. The affiliate was chartered on May 7, 2017.

History

Tioga County Libertarian Party was formed in 2017 after efforts by Rich Purtell to organize it.

The Tioga County Libertarian Party, in their convention on June 8, 2019, elected separate leadership for the chapter of the Free Libertarian Party, Inc.. However, as the FLP was voted to dissolve in November 2019, the organization's affiliates were mostly abandoned in favor of the new affiliates under the political party. For the chapter, on June 8, 2019, Keith Price was elected Chair, Joe Breitwieser was elected Vice-Chair, Rich Purtell was elected Secretary, Derek Gilbert was elected Treasurer, Tami Bogausch was elected Office-At-Large. Price was also elected State Representative.
